The Leadership Team
Elders
At Hook New Covenant Church the Elders are responsible for directing
the affairs of the church (1 Timothy 5:17). The current Elders are:
Dave Colebrooke: Dave moved to Hook in
1996 from Winchester specifically to lead the church. He is employed
full time in this capacity with
his main gifting being pastor/teacher. Having overall responsibility
for the church life he could also be described as ‘Lead Elder.’ Dave
is married to Angie, and they have three children, Thomas, Timothy
and Elizabeth.

David Grant: David moved to Hook in 1998 and after serving in many
different capacities in the local church, became an Elder in January
2003. David is employed full time as a tutor in a local sixth form
college. David is married to Ann and has two daughters, Rachel and
Jo.

Simon Jones: Simon
is the newest elder at Hook New Covenant, being made an elder in
May 2005 (see photos here). Simon works locally as a doctor and
is married to Miriam. They have two children - Matthew and Lydia.
Trustees
The Trustees are legally responsible for the finance and assets
of the church as a registered charity. They are accountable to the
members of the church and to the Charity Commission. The current
Trustees are:

Other Teams
Finance Team
The finance team deal with the day to day administration of the
money such as cashing up, paying bills and wages etc. They also act
in an advisory capacity to the Trustees and Elders. The finance team
includes a member of the Trustees.
Worship Team
The worship team is headed up by a group of leaders responsible
for organising the public worship times of the church, under the
oversight of the Elders. They also are responsible for recruiting
and training worship group members, teaching new songs to the church,
being examples to the church of passionate worshippers, encouraging
and giving space for the exercising of spiritual gifts in the meetings
etc.
