Regular activities and meetings

For a full breakdown of upcoming events and activities, please see the calendar page.

Sunday services

Services are held at 10:30am every Sunday, usually in the Elizabeth Hall, Raven Road, Hook. Check the calendar page for any change of location

Our Sunday servies are an informal service of worship and teaching. After a time of family worship, the children go to their own teaching groups. There is a crèche for very young children. Communion is held during the service every second Sunday of the month.

Monthly prayer meetings

Third Sunday of the month, 7pm at Elms Road

As a church we recognise the central importance and power of prayer. In these dynamic monthly meetings we seek, through worship and prayer, to hear God's will for us as individuals and as a fellowship.

Weekly cell groups

Tuesdays / Wednesdays at 8pm in members' homes. A daytime cell group meets on Wednesdays at 10:30am in Elms Road

Our midweek cell group meetings are a hugely important part of our church life. These meet each week in members' homes, and may include worship, prayer, teaching, friendship, food and - often - just plain fun! These groups are always pleased to welcome visitors and new members. There are currently five groups, including a youth cell (see below), but more are planned as numbers continue to rise. Please contact the church office for more information.

XCel Youth Programme

Sunday evenings from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. in Elms Road. There are also occasional special events - check the calendar page for any updates

XCel aims to help young people to grow in their love for God, their care for one another and their concern for the world. It follows the Cell format, with different sections of the evening given to Welcome, Worship, Word and Witness. Sometimes, the whole evening is given over to a fun activity. The aim is for the group to become increasingly peer-led while maintaining adult oversight.

XCel is for young people in School Years 7 - 11, plus 17/18 year olds Anyone from the appropriate age group who is happy to accept the few rules of the group; that we respect the leaders, the other group members and the building in which we meet. The group welcomes those who do not attend other events organised by the church, although these will be mentioned and advertised from time to time.

XCel seeks to integrate young people into normal church life as much as possible, and even has an "employment agent" to help this happen! The young people are seen as being as important in the church as anyone else!
